A warm Friday evening in summer ... We are not greeted with "Hello", "Good evening" or "What can I do for you" but with "KITCHEN IS CLOSED" !!! - OK, understood - It is only 8:00 PM at this point, but we have already eaten and just wanted to drink a glass of wine, so please don't shoot right away. After being granted entry almost reluctantly, we look for a place outside ourselves. Here we had enough time to study the wine list (35 minutes until our order was taken. At this point, 3 tables outside and one inside were occupied). We ordered a bottle of Spätlese, lovely and a bottle of water (by the way, we are waiting for the bottle of water until today). We are served a bottle of what is probably the driest wine this wine bar has to offer. No end of the world, of course, but the statement of the waitress was a bit surprising "Oh, there are differences"! - um YES good woman - we are then served a completely different "summer wine" with the eloquent statement "but it also pops particularly well" - again a big WOW, are you trying to look cool or does you just have the behavior of a Neanderthal? We don't know until today. The summer wine then flowed into the rest of the dry wine and melted into a strange mixture. When asked to bring us two new glasses, we were looked at as if we had just asked for a new kidney. It is now 10 PM, we are asked to go to the indoor area to keep the night quiet. Everything completely understandable. The reaction of the second waiter was completely incomprehensible. Our greeting from two hours ago still rings in my ears when he comes packed with all kinds of goodies and greets new guests with tarte flambée and sandwiches - strange the kitchen was closed two hours ago - however we paid and left, everything All in all, we had a very unpleasant evening in the Weinhexe, with the constant feeling that YOU are not welcome here. We drink our wine elsewhere now.
Simply trier and quaint here! 😊👍 Wine very tasty, service very nice and courteous.
Very cozy! Jürgen is the best👍
Service was unfortunately not very friendly. Price-performance ratio not really justified either. A lot of money for a product that is already purchased and costs a fraction to buy. Despite reservations and few guests, only a few dishes available and long waiting times (although this was also announced directly by the waitress). All in all, very disappointing.
Finished tarte flambée for 11.50 € - very overpriced. Quite unfriendly service (we were blamed for reserving 2 tables with 9 people and since we wanted to sit down, a table could have been passed on) the wine was also very expensive (21 €, was not special) . Not to be recommended.
Quaint ambience, nice courteous innkeeper and good wines 🍷👍
Great food, wine, atmosphere and service - will definitely come back
Thank you for the lovely evening. Was very nice in the wine witch. The wine recommendation was great. The tarte flambée taste very good too. Only the cheese platter was a bit expensive. Highly recommended - the wine witch
Very cozy wine bar with a small terrace in the courtyard. Small menu with delicious tarte flambée and warm dishes that change daily. Nice selection of wines. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance. Jürgen is a great host.
A cozy corner in the inner courtyard. Large selection of wines, but some wines are not available. Attentive and courteous service.
Super quaint and cozy. Attentive service. Menu with various tarte flambée and 2 daily specials a bit thin
An absolute insider tip. Very good cuisine, a great wine tasting and so nice service. Highly recommended.
Very friendly service and fine cuisine, combined with a huge selection of beautiful wines. In a cozy atmosphere and a pretty courtyard. All around small but nice. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing evening with delicious food. 😁
Quaint wine bar with a nicely decorated courtyard, a small but fine selection of dishes and very attentive service. Really great recommendation for an evening in good company or just to drink a (two three) nice glass of wine. We had a very nice evening and would love to come back 🤩
Jürgen is a great host who is always good for a surprise. My unconditional recommendation for a wine society evening. The Trier pleasure factory recommends: Jürgens wine witch.
Great ambience - very cozy, excellent wines and good cuisine. The interior is almost true to the original from the early 1960s.
Great wines, great food (menu pre-ordered) very nice atmosphere. Just great. I and my guests felt very comfortable there.
Super nice evening spent with good friends. Wine tasting with delicious tarte flambé variants enjoyed! Highly recommended!
We hold our Stammtisch every first Wednesday of the month. Our table is always reserved for us and has been there for well over 15 years. Satisfied.
Great wines, bad food and an incredibly stubborn service. The owner was nice and the evening good.
Quaint wine bar with sympathetic owner. The wine tasting is recommended and the food was great.
Nice
Ok
Great Flammkuchen and great wine in a nice, cozy atmosphere
Great wine, friendly service. Nice cosy location. Many thanks.
Weinhexe isn't really a full restaurant. It's more of a wine tasting place, that has a small menu to accompany the wine list. I did like the wines we tried, but the food wasn't too great. The pizza was mediocre, and the pasta was over cooked. I will add that the service was exceptional, and that our server was very knowledgeable about the wines and attentive, despite his solo act and there being several other tables of customers.
